
Lana Peters is the pioneering founder of the first Osteopathy practice to be licensed in the Kingdom of Bahrain since 2012. With over 40 years of experience, Lana is dedicated to improving the lives of Bahraini citizens and expatriates through holistic health practices. An Australian by birth, she holds a DO. BSc (Hons) in Osteopathic Medicine, is an Osteopath in the Cranial Field, and holds a Diploma in Naturopathy.

Yasmeen holds a BA in psychology and literature from KUD, India. Additionally, she has a diploma in social studies and counselling from the ARLT Foundation, Netherlands, and a master’s in clinical psychology from Arden University, UK. Yasmeen has lived in Bahrain for over 18 years and has a corporate background. Since her employment at Back on the Move in 2017, she has been instrumental in the growth and development of the company, becoming a pivotal figure in the organization. She is responsible for the overall operational management of the center, ensuring compliances with the NHRA and Back on the Move’s standard operating procedures.

A native of Greece, Athina holds an Assistant Physiotherapist’s Diploma from the Professional School of Thivas. With years of experience in therapeutic massage, Athina is dedicated to relieving chronic pain and easing the discomfort that comes from everyday stress or athletic overuse. She uses specialized techniques such as deep tissue, Swedish, relaxation, and cupping massages to restore mobility and support muscle rehabilitation. Athina's approach is dedicated to increasing strength, endurance, and overall well-being.

Nadya comes from Siberia and is highly skilled in aesthetic massage, practising for more than eight years. She has a background in holistic techniques, bringing a unique blend of Russian expertise to the art of face & body sculpting and therapeutic massage, including Swedish, deep tissue massage, body sculpting, Brazilian bamboo massage (Spanish Technique), trigger point therapy, body shaping, face lifting (Spanish Technique) and aromatherapy. Her specialty lies in post-operative lymphatic drainage for weight loss and other aesthetics such as anti-cellulite.

Dr Kelly Samson is a South African Chiropractor with a passion for enhancing the wellbeing of her patients through personalized care. With expertise and a passion in scoliosis care, Dr Samson employs a patient-centered approach, tailoring treatment plans to meet the unique needs and goals for each individual patient. Kelly’s special interests lie in scoliosis treatment and rehabilitation. She holds M. Tech Chiro (CASA), Scoliosis Master’s Program (ISICO), SEAS (Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis) and Schroth Scoliosis Certified Therapist (ISST) qualifications.

Mary Ann is a Philippines national who graduated as a physical therapist in Manila, holding a BS in physiotherapy. She is also certified in therapeutic, deep tissue massage and sports massage therapy and has gained many years’ experience through her work in recovery clinics.

Hailing from the Philippines, Daisy holds a BSc in Physical Therapy from Our Lady of Fatima University in Manila, and is certified in Massage Therapy, having over 15 years’ experience in her practice. She is licensed by the Ministry of Health and specializes in lymphatic drainage, abdominal massage and therapeutic massage. Daisy uses her skills to promote wellness and healing, while her passion for helping others achieve their health goals drives her to continuously enhance her techniques and stay updated on the latest in massage therapy.

A Philippines national, Michelle holds a qualification in hotel and restaurant management and has been the friendly and efficient face greeting clients and providing administration support at Back on the Move and BeRehab since its inception.

Mariam Rasool, a Pakistani national, has a BSc in finance. Not only has she worked as Back on the Move’s receptionist, providing administrative support for five years, she also handles social media for Back on the Move and BeRehab.

A Philippines national, Rachell studied computer science and is well-known to Back on the Move clients, having worked for six years as receptionist, also providing administration support.

Jose hails from the Philippines and has performed a vital role with Back on the Move and BeRehab for many years, keeping the premises running smoothly and overseeing laundry operations.

Dr. Dong Li holds a master’s degree in Acupuncture from the Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has been practising Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), using Acupuncture, Moxibustion, and Tuina, for 15 years, and specializes in hormone and digestive system disorders. With years of experience, he uses classical diagnostic methods - such as tongue and pulse diagnosis - to evaluate and treat each patient holistically.

With eight years’ experience, Zahra is a Bahraini physiotherapist specializing in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. A graduate of Bahrain University, Zahra’s expertise spans postural correction for both athletes and non-athletes, as well as pre- and post-operative rehab. She is certified in AISTM and dry needling and is committed to helping her patients achieve pain-free movement and optimal recovery.

A British national, Samar graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) with a master’s degree and additional diplomas in osteopathic medicine and naturopathic medicine. Samar is committed to providing comprehensive care to people from all walks of life. Her expertise includes a range of osteopathic techniques such as spinal and joint mobilizations, harmonic techniques and manipulations, all aimed at restoring balance and promoting overall wellbeing. In addition, Samar holds qualifications in cranial and fascia work.

Amir Ayad is a French osteopath who studied in Paris in a bio-mechanical osteopathic school. After gaining his diploma in osteopathy, he obtained a master’s degree with a specialization in sports adapted to fragile populations. He also holds a certification in cupping therapy. Amir worked for several years in hospitals in France, gaining experience in both geriatrics and cancerology departments, as well as being a medical referent for several soccer clubs, working on the care and prevention of sports injuries. Amir’s work focuses on the biomechanical understanding of pain, which he treats through adjustments and manipulations of the spine, joint mobilization and muscle work.

Hailing from South Africa, Amy holds a BA (Honors) in Biokinetics and a BSc in Human Movement Science and Biochemistry. She is passionate about helping her patients achieve their best quality of life through movement. With a deep understanding of human movement and exercise science, Amy specializes in using scientific and evidence-based exercise to treat chronic conditions and cardiac rehabilitation, helping to rehabilitate injuries and improve overall physical performance. She has a keen eye for identifying muscle imbalances, correcting posture and alleviating chronic pain. Her tailored exercise programmes are designed to meet each individual’s unique needs.

Hailing from South Africa, Ray Booysen holds a BA (Honors) in biokinetics and a BSc in human movement science and biochemistry. He specializes in rehabilitation of injuries using exercise as a modality to treat chronic pain, correcting imbalances between muscle groups. Using science-based evidence to strengthen the body and promote health, wellness and pain-free living, Ray has a keen interest in treating chronic pain, pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, helping with injury prevention and rehabilitation. He can also provide specific training for optimal performance.

A Bahraini national, Seema earned a full scholarship from the Ministry of Education and gained a B.Sc. from McGill University, Canada. She holds a master’s degree in Psychotherapeutic Practice for Practitioners and became a Reiki Master in 2006.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Hashim studied in Los Angeles, California, where he was a practising Chiropractor for over 28 years with a patient base that included many Hollywood celebrities. His chiropractic care involves treatment of the dysfunction of the joints in the body, in particular, the spine, utilizing gentle, non-surgical techniques. Dr Al-Hashim specializes in posture correction, headaches, dizziness, neck and back pain and sciatica.

Rawya is a Bahraini national with four years of hospital-based experience and a total of six years’ experience in several departments including orthopedics, neurology, sport injuries, burn injuries, intensive care units and post-surgical conditions. She has undertaken courses in dry needling, dry cupping, kinesiology taping and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (Graston Technique), which is designed to help the practitioner identify areas of restriction and attempt to break up scar tissue.

A Bahraini national, Fatema is a certified practitioner of dry needling, kinesio taping, cupping, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization. She has worked in the field of physiotherapy for 13 years. She has extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions and specializes in personalized rehabilitation plans that focus on pain relief, mobility restoration, and functional improvement.

Dr. Mohamed is a highly specialized musculoskeletal and sports injury expert. He holds a master's and PhD in rehabilitation and sports injury management, and is a certified dry needling therapist and strength and conditioning specialist. Mohamed's areas of expertise include conditions related to the muscles, bones and joints, with a particular focus on sports groin injuries. His comprehensive training and experience in manual therapy and exercise prescription make him the ideal choice for athletes and active individuals seeking treatment for musculoskeletal conditions.

Joseph is from the Philippines and has over 12 years of experience in Massage Therapy. He is passionate and committed to helping people achieve pain relief, relaxation and overall well-being. Highly skilled and enthusiastic, he uses stretching, deep tissue, reflexology, shiatsu, sports massage and various other techniques that help to reduce stress, increase flexibility and a wide range of motions. Providing massage therapy is Joseph’s passion and he enjoys growing his knowledge and skills, working together with his clients to restore balance and harmony to both body and mind.

Jeffrey hails from the Philippines and is a skilled massage therapist. He has extensive experience in deep tissue, Shiatsu, Thai and Swedish massage. Jeffrey can also educate clients on overall wellness and provide honest and helpful advice on improving lifestyle, for better health and fitness outcomes.

Hailing from the USA, Laura is the only certified Rolfer in Bahrain. Rolfing Structural Integration is a form of bodywork that reorganizes the fascia, or connective tissues, throughout the body. The body’s fascia supports and penetrates all muscles, bones, nerves and organs, and Rolfing works to release, realign and balance the whole body, thus potentially resolving discomfort, reducing compensations and alleviating pain by enhancing postural efficiency and freedom of movement.

Christiane (from Brazil) holds a diploma as a Massage Technician, and is certified in Ayurvedic therapy, Shiatsu, reflexology, lymphatic drainage massage and face sculpture. She also practices post-surgical massage, helping clients to regain flexibility and range of movement. Christiane uses her wide-ranging portfolio of skills to help clients reduce tension and fatigue, overcome pain and achieve wellness and balance of the body and mind.
